Black out Poem

it feels awful not to trust the people you love. not that the truth provided us with any great comfort. she knew this had to stop. i told her it was her responsibility.

Just Desert

She thought she was okay, that moving here would bring about a fresh new start with her family. After all this was where she could picture raising her kids, baking pies and leaving them on the windowsill to cool, being a stay at home sort of mom; until one afternoon when she woke to find herself in the kitchen, body numb holding a knife up to a ripened pumpkin. She lowered the knife and it grew even brighter. She didn’t know why she was doing these things, why she was moving without her consent; saying these things without knowing why she was doing all of this. It was like being behind a blurry TV screen, just watching and waiting for what twists and turns this new plot was going to take her. Why couldn’t she control her body, and more importantly what was controlling her if she wasn’t? She was trapped inside her own mind, forced to take part in these actions she had not given consent to and do some unearthly creatures bidding like what she was about to do. She couldn’t quite see what she was doing but she knew there was a knife and a pumpkin. Her body slowly brought the knife closer and closer to the skin of the fruit, and when she did the brighter the pumpkin became. Saying it was unusual would have been the understatement of the year. All she’d ever wanted was a simple, normal life out in the country in a nice house with some chickens and cows where she could feel completely relaxed with her family. She imagined being happy out in the sun, with a nice summer breeze when she was reminded of the reality of the situation and realized that she may never get to become herself again. What would happen to her dream? To her family? Her children? What would they think of their mother? That she just went crazy? Would they ever know that she was being possessed and that wasn’t actually her? Or worse… would whatever is controlling her hurt the people she holds most dear? Whilst these questions were running through her brain she lowered the knife penetrating through the core of the pumpkin, and when she did she had every reason to believe something was going to go horribly wrong considering the brightness of the pumpkin had escalated to the point where she could feel it burn her eyes. And in that moment she could swear she wouldn’t even be able to remotely recognize herself maybe ever again. She felt lost in her own mind, drifting aimlessly in space. She couldn’t even remember the little things anymore like what she had for breakfast, or her 16th birthday party,or when she got married, up to the point where she was wondering if she was ever married. She became a little consciousness merely existing in the back of her brain while she let this demon take control of her, aware and convinced that she’d never get her mind and body back; especially since she couldn’t even remember her own name now. She clings to little memory of her life before all of this happened as time passes by, unaware of her current actions as well as the time and day; it must’ve been months now, maybe even years since she cut into that pumpkin and lived a life worth living.

Favortie Quotes

Well, as you probably know by now I'm into a lot of science fiction and I make references to those shows/books/movies very frequently. Most of the time I make them in joke, but sometimes there really are some meaningful quotes that I do believe such as:

"I've never met anyone who wasn't important" -Doctor Who

I really like this quote because it gives me hope, and helps me move forward in life, much like a quote my father told me from the bible:

"This too shall pass."

This quote as well lets me move forward and encourages me that the bad times will end, sure so will the good ones but everything eventually has to end, but in that ending there is also a new beginning.

Famous First and Last Lines story

I had the story, bit by bit, from various people, and, as generally happens in such cases, each time it was a different story. Though, being the Doctor and all it was my job to figure out what was happening here-and then it hit me, but as soon ans the idea reached my brain and begun to spill from my lips, Martha and i were sent back into the past."Doctor what's happening?!" a breathless Martha exclaimed to which i answered "we-ll... apparently the angles have gotten a hold of the tardis and have sent us into the past in an attempt to get inside, but fortunately for us I know someone who can help."
"The angles? like in the bible?"
"Not exactly Martha, there are these statues that appear to be angles, and appear to be statues, but actually they are one of the oldest creature still around on earth. “Fascinating race, the Weeping Angels. The only psychopaths in the universe to kill you nicely. No mess, no fuss, they just zap you into the past and let you live to death. The rest of your life used up and blown away in the blink of an eye. You die in the past, and in the present they consume the energy of all the days you might have had, all your stolen moments. They’re creatures of the abstract. They live off potential energy.” Now we need Sally Sparrow to bring us the tardis since we are so unconventionally stuck in the 1970s."
Now all i need to find are some supplies in order to send Sally a message in the only way i know she'll get it. i started the camera, handed it over to Martha and began my message for the infamous Sally Sparrow.
"Don’t blink.
Blink and you’re dead.
Don’t turn your back.
Don’t look away.
And don’t blink.
Good Luck."
Are there any questions?

Memorable Passage Assignment

I finished the book Heroes about a month ago and i really enjoyed it, firstly because I've seen the TV series and i really liked it, which is why i choose to read this book in the first place, and because i really enjoy science fiction books. This book follows the character Hiro Nakamura, a man trying to figure out his destiny once he finds out that he has the ability to bend time and space, and then he meets a girl named charlie who was killed the day he met her so now he's time traveled into the past to save the one he loves.

"it wasn't a fairy tale, and it didn't have a happy ending-but then again, no story did. In the end everybody dies, Hire realized. But you can be happy right up to the last page, he reminded himself. He placed a tny orange crane he'd been cradling in his hands up on the shelf, in the very center f the alter. He took a step back, and the tentative smile on his face grew strong and sure, finally reaching his eyes. It was time to go. He wanted to get away before anyone started asking too many questions. he was sure he'd created a new time line, far different from the one he had left. One with which he would be forced to live, forever. The story of Charlie's life may have been shorter than anyone in Midland would have liked, and the end might have come too quickly, but it definitely had a very happy middle. She had been happy-they had been happy together-and that's what made this story a good one."

this paragraph reminds me that you can't change the past but you can still make the most of it, to not dwell on it but remember from the past and learn from it, and most importantly to remember the good times in life over the bad ones. "i can't change the past, no matter how hard i wish."

Writers as Readers

2.) The genres that interest me are usually in the Sci-Fi genre, including fan fictions. I really enjoy this genre because it’s not complete fantasy, which I like, plus it usually has really good story morals. I’m drawn o science fiction books because I usually end up watching the TV show or movie of the book first, then i end up reading the book because I really enjoyed the motion picture.

4.) One of my best memories when reading a book is when I get so into a book that I completely forget where I am, I just get sucked into the book and forget about all my worries and responsibilities.

5.) Pretty much any book that involves any TV show/movie4 I’ve watched I’ll really enjoy it, and I won’t be able to put it down. On the other hand pretty much any book that the school has me read, that’s required reading it will take forever for me to get through because you can’t force a book upon someone. They’re like relationships and you can’t force them.

7.) The first book I remember reading all by myself was Matilda. I just remember being so proud of me because it was the first chapter book that I didn’t need any help with reading, plus I really enjoyed the story.

8.) I have so many favorite books, and book series it’s not even funny. I really like the book heroes, as well as the hunger book series. Then there’s star trek, the great Gatsby, and star wars, and so many more. These are just a few of the more recent books I’ve read that I’ve come to really enjoy.

10.) I do feel like some people are pressured into reading “popular” books, even I have felt that way, but when I did read the “popular” book I found that it was deemed “popular” for a reason, because it then became one of my favorite books. So yes I do believe books have the power to move people to do things, especially if it has strong morals.

9.) When I finished reading the fault in our stars I was angry afterwards because any though I like the author and he has a very interesting way of writing, it was just the same old love story in any other book that was completely predictable.

When I finished reading Heroes I was sad because the main character Hiro realized that you can’t change the past, and he was unable to save Charlie due to his higher destiny.

When I finished reading Star trek I was happy because who could really be upset after reading star trek? I mean it’s pretty much the best thing in existence; it’s definitely my guilty pleasure that I constantly think about (and make many references to on a daily basis).

Writers Dreaming

5.) I think it’s very amazing how someone can just decide to not talk for five years, I personally don't think I could go that long without talking, but if I could I would get so much more work done because talking takes up so much of my time especially during any of my classes where I have friends in. I also feel like it's important to talk sometimes though, first of all for communication reasons and also to ask for feedback and to fix mistakes and what not.

4.) I feel like dreams can sometimes have something to do with our real life and symbolize our ambitions, thoughts, and feelings but most of the time at least when I dream I can't think of one thing in my dream that relates that to my actual life. Since most of my dreams don't correspond with my life I doubt that they relate/ symbolize things sometimes. Now I'm not saying that all dreams don't symbolize somehow because I know that sometimes they do. I’ve even had dreams where I'm just in school going through a normal day, because I think about school a lot. /I'm just saying that not all dreams have a meaning, so don't over think it.

9.) Things I do to get me motivated to do something or start writing (html) is watching movies, or Netflix, and even just talking with my friends gets me inspired. now I don’t really write as in creating stories, more like I write html code for my actual blog where I can design my page and add new things such as a sidebar, cursor, scroll button, even add mouse sparkles, and it's all my shows that I watch that inspire my blog design.

11.) I think it's difficult for someone older to learn new things because they are so used to their routine already that changing it can hold some difficulties, but if someone really wants to learn something I believe that they can achieve their goal. you're only holding yourself back and as long as you believe you can do it, then you can, so don't let anyone get in your way of your dreams and goals because it's your life so make the most of it.

Weird dream…

A couple years ago I dreamt that I had to go to a party that one of my dad’s friends was having at their house, and in the dream the kind of parties that people would have were “clown” arties which in the dream was completely normal to have where the host would hang up clown decorations and on the front door instead of having a wreath, people would put a clown mask showing that they were having a “clown party” th their house so people could find out where the party was at. Well, in this dream I really didn’t want to go to the party because I never really liked to go to events with my parents work friends but they made me go anyway. Everyone just wore normal clothes, just like any other party. so i go inside the house with my parents and after a while everyone was smoking so i went outside the house on the front porch so i could get some fresh air when there was a biker driving by, but it wasn't just any biker it was a clown on a motorcycle. Then i felt very panicked to take down the clown mask wreath so the biker couldn't see it; but it was too late so i ran inside to tell my parents aboout what just happened so we could get everyone out of the house because i knew they were coming (the clowns). but just as i was getting my parents out the door they arrived to the house, and turned it into a hostage situation untill finally they killed everyone, including me. now i don't really understand why i had this dream or what it could possibly symbolize, and it sounds silly writting it out here, but in my dream it was a really serious and scary situation that i don't wish to experience again.

Dream Threads

Closing my eyes became a fear, this war was a mistake that never should have happened. This time war was brought upon by the dalecks, destroying everything and anyone who they deemed insuperior to them; which was everyone. And now my family, friends, and entire race of Time Lords are completely extinct, all but me. I’m all alone now and maybe it’s better this way, but I can’t help but connect with people on earth because I’ve never met anyone who was not important;  and maybe I might just interfere a little bit, but only to help people when other monsters come along. So I am here once again, helping anyone, and everyone that requires my assistance, well… I am the Doctor. There always seems to be something that comes up where everywhere. Wait… why is that woman repeating everything I’m saying? Then the airplane door flies open…

Sleep, serene plum and gray, must end
Rubbing the eyes to get a clearer picture of this obscure Normandy surrounding you
The early morning sky, still celestial mauve, beckons you back to sleep
Walking down the creaking stairs, a complex grandeur, yet simple
Into the kitchen, the whir of the coffee maker, a tempting tempest rumor
Finally, a cup of classic bisque coffee in hand
Ready to join the Vermont current on the way to work

(inspired by paint pallets and friends)
Door of opportunity

there could be a place
behind that creaking door
of riches and wonders
but be careful of which door you open
for if you open the wrong one, it could lead to poverty and hopelessness
but all things come to an end
much like how this poem will soon end too
so you will always have another shot at opening the right door for you
but until that day comes
travel on and don't give up
because you'll never know if you don't try your luck.

(poem inspired by Disney paint pallet creaking door)

Fresh Foliage

The evergreen trees
lined with frozen vanilla
are most beautiful
It's snowing outside
Like its frozen vanilla
lining on the trees
( Haikus inspired by paint pallets: frozen vanilla, and fresh foliage. )
