1.)A few of my pieces of writing
that I have done this year in this class include my six word memoirs post on my
blog that are exactly what the title says. That post made an impression on my
friends and I especially on our band trip right after we did this assignment
because we were bored and we had nothing else to do so we came up with a bunch
of six word memoirs such as “who cares we got a medal”, “walking until I find
something cool”, and “I watch too much star trek”. Other writing pieces that I
enjoyed were the newspaper and magazine cut out poems and stories that can be
all found in my journal. Usually for these poems and stories I was able to
reference some sort of television show that I enjoy which made me happy because
I’m kind of a movie/ TV show fanatic, so being able to write about the things I
love made me really enjoy writing. The children Stories that we created was
another one of my favorite things I was able to which was about multiple dogs:
Lima, Pinto, Jelly, Green, etc. who their owner was talking saying “my dog ___
likes to roam. My dog ___ left their home. She/he came home all nice and clean,
oh where, oh where had ___ been?” so the joke of the story was that when the owner
was asking where their dog had been, it sounded like they were saying the name
of a bean like Lima bean, Pinto bean, Jelly bean, and so forth. And also I made a cow out of the word “moo” for
my (acrostic) poem inspired by a picture(the picture was of a hamburger) http://youvulcant.blogspot.com/2013/11/moo.html
2.) The piece I really enjoyed
reading was written by Carissa was titled “Johnlocked” it’s a fan fiction based
on the TV show Sherlock, which is my favorite show. Plus I just really enjoy
Carissa’s writing style in general and I wish she would finish the story for me
but I’m pretty sure I’m going to wait like how long I waited for series 3 of
Sherlock to come out (which was two years). She uses really good descriptive
words in what she writes, and I wish that she would write more because it
really is very good, and I bet other people would like her writing style too.
3.) Setting up my blog wasn’t
really difficult being that I was already the owner of a blog which I tend to
edit the html on a lot already to add things I like, but I came up with the
name for my blog because, well I am a huge fan of star trek, a Trekkie if you
will so how could I resist a perfect opportunity to involve more star trek into
my work at school. The things that I did post aren’t normal things that I would
post on a regular blog because well this was for a class so the assignments
don’t really flow with the theme of my blog; I can’t really see anyone really enjoying
this blog because these aren’t the things that I would have wanted to post, but
I will continue to blog on my own on my tumblr blog that I have.
4.) I don’t think I will continue
to journal, maybe online but not with a pencil and paper. I don’t really
consider myself to be a “good” writer so it’s really not my thing to journal.
However, in my Journal there are a lot of doodles because I do like to doodle
because in a sense it does give me ideas to write about, mostly about the TV
and books I enjoy.
5.) (Newspaper cut out
stories/poems)
The man in the blue box was there
first and then I told him it’s not my division.
Never make your demos far from
heaven: Why can’t your worries stop? And everything be divine. It’s nice to see
life after death, feel less inadequate. But never be someone else, everything
will shine on. Ready, set, restart.
6.) This was the Famous first and
last lines story that we had to create and I think I was most proud of this
when I wrote it at the time. “I had the story, bit by bit, from various
people, and, as generally happens in such cases, each time it was a different
story. Though, being the Doctor and all it was my job to figure out what
was happening here-and then it hit me, but as soon and the idea reached my
brain and begun to spill from my lips, Martha and I were sent back into the
past."Doctor what's happening?!" a breathless Martha exclaimed to
which I answered "we-all... apparently the angles have gotten a hold of
the tardis and have sent us into the past in an attempt to get inside, but
fortunately for us I know someone who can help."
"The angels? Like in the bible?"
"Not exactly Martha, there are these statues that appear to be angles, and appear to be statues, but actually they are one of the oldest creature still around on earth. “Fascinating race, the Weeping Angels. The only psychopaths in the universe to kill you nicely. No mess, no fuss, they just zap you into the past and let you live to death. The rest of your life used up and blown away in the blink of an eye. You die in the past, and in the present they consume the energy of all the days you might have had, all your stolen moments. They’re creatures of the abstract. They live off potential energy.” Now we need Sally Sparrow to bring us the tardis since we are so unconventionally stuck in the 1970s."
Now all I need to find are some supplies in order to send Sally a message in the only way I know she'll get it. I started the camera, handed it over to Martha and began my message for the infamous Sally Sparrow.
"Don’t blink.
Blink and you’re dead.
Don’t turn your back.
Don’t look away.
And don’t blink.
Good Luck."
Are there any questions?”

7.)The only creative writing that
I may or may not do, well I don’t know if it’s considered creative writing but
I really like to format html and write in what I do know how to do (still
learning). That’s technically considered creative writing I hope… but I also
come up with a lot of puns and silly things like that. Writing in school is
completely different because you have to write what the teacher wants you to
write, but when you do it on your own it has more freedom to grow and be an
“individual”
8.)
Carissa: you really should write
more, I do believe you are a genuinely good writer and people will love it.
Trevor: I will miss all of your
hilarious gifs of everything.
Jordan (Pablo): I wish you were
signed up to be in my Spanish class because we’d have so much fun
- Jenifer
Shay: I appreciated your use of
alliteration in your blog title and I have no idea how you and trevor got so
many page views.
This class was a lot of fun, and i really enjoyed it. I would take this class 100 times over if i could, thank you for a great semester.
